Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
Atlas Green, a leading commercial grounds maintenance and landscaping contractor, is seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to supervise a small team in maintaining the grounds at various sites in and around the Yorkshire area. Responsibilities
- Supervise a small team to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.
- Ensure that client requirements and specifications are met for the enjoyment, recreation, and safety of sites, employees, and visitors.
- Work hands-on with the team to provide a top-class horticultural environment.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Spraying Certificates NPTC PA1 & PA6
- Team leader experience or motivational qualities. Experience in Landscaping / Grounds Maintenance
- Ability to implement Health & Safety requirements to ensure safe working practices.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty gardening equipment
- DBS / CRB certificate checks to be undertaken.

Duties
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee landscape maintenance tasks including planting, watering, and general upkeep of gardens and green spaces.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various maintenance tasks such as building structures, digging, and irrigation installation.
- Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Develop maintenance schedules and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Train team members on proper use of equipment and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in soft landscaping is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina.
- A keen eye for detail with a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing landscapes.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
