CBRE Global Workplace Solutions Grounds/Landscaping Operative Position
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a landscape gardener to join the team located in Fawley. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the team to deliver grounds maintenance services to the client in a safe, responsible manner.
What You’ll Do
- Using petrol powered gardening machinery to control vegetation on the various site locations we work. These include:
- Process units with a high of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. These units are highly industrial, smelly, and hazardous.
- Bund walls and tank berms. These are the storage areas for tank silos filled with anything from crude oil to jet fuel. The banks around these tanks can be up to 7 metres high and have an angle of 36-40 degrees. A decent level of fitness and sure footedness is required.
- Using chemicals for vegetation control
- Manual handling
- Driving vans and tractors
- General maintenance and upkeep of tools/equipment
- Completing computer-based training and courses using a laptop computer
- Working in a safe, responsible manner
- Being involved in toolbox talks and safety discussions
- Adhering to procedures and safe working practices on site
- Willingness to work in inclement weather
- Good work ethic with strong teamwork attributes
