Are you an experienced Grounds Person looking for a new opportunity at an outstanding school in Ealing?
This school is looking for a dedicated and experienced Grounds Person to join their team and take responsibility for maintaining the schools sports grounds to a high standard. The successful Grounds Person will have strong experience working with turf, particularly Rugby and Cricket pitches, and will understand the importance of maintaining high-quality playing surfaces throughout the school year.
The Grounds Person will be responsible for ensuring that all pitches are maintained to an excellent standard and are prepared in plenty of time for fixtures, training sessions and other sporting events. The Grounds Person will need to take pride in their work and have a good eye for detail, ensuring the sports grounds are safe, presentable and ready for students and staff to use.

The successful Grounds Person will work closely with the Head of PE and other members of the school team to understand the weekly fixture schedule and identify which pitches need to be prepared. Good communication will therefore be an important part of the Grounds Person role, as the successful candidate will need to liaise regularly with the Head of PE and respond to changing requirements throughout the school term.
Key Responsibilities of the Grounds Person:
- Maintaining Rugby, Cricket and other sports pitches to a consistently high standard.
- Preparing pitches ahead of school fixtures and training sessions.
- Carrying out regular turf maintenance, including mowing, marking and general upkeep.
- Ensuring playing surfaces are safe and suitable for use.
- Working closely with the Head of PE to understand upcoming fixtures and pitch requirements.
