Noah's Ark Zoo Farm are looking to recruit an experienced full-time Grounds Person to join our Site Team.

Do you have a passion for the environment & conservation? Do you enjoy working outdoors? Would you like to work in a beautiful rural setting every day?

You'll be working alongside a team who are committed to high standards of work with a strong focus on conservation & the environment, in a large award-winning zoo. With a positive, can-do attitude, and great communication skills, you'll help the zoo to maintain, develop and care for over 100 acres of estate, including its gardens, enclosures and woodlands. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a varied and fulfilling role, where new challenges and opportunities are regularly presented.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will ideally hold a National Diploma in Horticulture or Countryside Management or have equivalent work-based experience for at least 5 years, which supports this role.

  • Experience of hedge trimmers, mowers, and strimmers is desirable.
  • PA1/PA6 Certificates and NPTC Chainsaw are desirable, but not necessarily a limiting factor.

This is a full-time position, working a 40-hour week (including one working weekend every six weeks and some bank holiday working as per the existing staff rota).

A full, valid manual driving license is essential, with towing experience and tractor driving experience desirable.

Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 (subject to experience).
