The Grounds Maintenance Team carry out maintenance works across a huge range of sites across Dorset, ranging from school grounds, care homes and libraries to Dorset Council's own properties as well as Town and Parish Council's. We offer an in-house service to the Council, providing a year-round grounds maintenance service and a quick response solution to issues and requirements that arise across the whole of Dorset.

You would be working as part of a team, assisting your Team Foreman to maintain a high standard, cost effective delivery. Being a good team player is therefore essential, with an ability to lead staff, be self-motivated, organised, and hard-working.

Good communication and presentation skills are also required as you will be engaging with our clients on a daily basis as well as members of the public from time to time.
As a member of the Grounds Maintenance team you will be representing the service, promoting its work, and be an advocate for Dorset Council and its partners.
