Service Technician Groundscare

Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive pay. | OTE £45,000+

Location: Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire and Rutland

Depot locations: Coates, Ellington & Oakham

We’re looking to expand our current team and are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join and collaborate with the prestigious John Deere brand, along with other brands working within our Groundscare team. With over 90 years of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to our motto, ‘Where Service Still Counts,’ we take pride in providing first-class support and innovative solutions that drive real progress.

As a Groundscare Service Technician you’ll be faced with exciting challenges and using state of the art machinery, providing excellent support to our customers. You will play a crucial role in delivering our amazing customer service.

What you’ll do

  • Diagnosing and repairing groundscare equipment;
  • Servicing machinery both of the John Deere brand, but also other brands;
  • Self-development through continuously developing your skills and knowledge through training on new products and services;
  • Quality assurance both in the workshop and in field settings;
  • Mentoring apprentices and trainees;
  • Preparing new and used equipment for delivery.

Is this you?

We’re looking for people who have

  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems;
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service;
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a drive to embrace new challenges;
  • Experience in a franchised dealer environment is preferred, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided;
  • Proficiency in maintaining and repairing machinery using special tools and following approved technical procedures;
  • Flexibility to adjust working hours during peak seasons and weekends;
  • A valid UK driving licence;
