Location: Coates, Peterborough - with depots at Ellington, Oakham and Coates, covering Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire and Rutland

Working pattern: Full-time, permanent

We're expanding our Groundscare team and looking for skilled technicians to work with the John Deere brand alongside other leading manufacturers. With over 90 years behind us and a motto we still stand by — "Where Service Still Counts" — we're known for first-class support and practical solutions that keep our customers moving.

As a Groundscare Service Technician you'll work on modern, high-specification machinery across our depots and out in the field, playing a direct part in the service our customers rely on.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnosing and repairing groundscare equipment
  • Servicing John Deere machinery and other brands
  • Developing your skills through ongoing training on new products and services
  • Carrying out quality assurance in the workshop and in field settings
  • Mentoring apprentices and trainees
  • Preparing new and used equipment for delivery

What you'll bring

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivation, strong communication skills and a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Proficiency in maintaining and repairing machinery using special tools and approved technical procedures
  • Flexibility to adjust working hours during peak seasons and weekends
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Experience in a franchised dealer environment is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
