Role Description
The Groundworker role at Space Groundworks is an on-site position based in the Greater Liverpool Area. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and maintaining construction sites, carrying out excavation, drainage, concreting, and reinstatement works, and assisting with foundations, footpaths, and other structural elements. The Groundworker will also support landscaping and external works, follow site plans and instructions from supervisors, and operate relevant tools and equipment safely. The role involves working as part of a site team, adhering to health and safety standards, completing work to specification and deadlines, and maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Qualifications

- Valid CSCS / CSCS Card and strong awareness of health and safety practices on construction sites.
- Groundworks skills, including excavation, drainage, concreting, and general civil engineering tasks.
- Landscaping experience, such as soft and hard landscaping, site finishing, and external works.
- Ability to work with and around Trees, including basic understanding of tree protection and site preservation requirements.
- Previous experience in construction or civil engineering environments, ideally in residential or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to read basic site drawings, follow instructions, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport is an advantage.
