Groundworker / Civil Operative
Location: Bedfordshire (Exact Site Details Provided at Interview Stage)
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Duration: circa 2 months with possibility of extension
Rate: Competitive Outside IR35
Immediate Opportunities for Experienced Groundworker
We are urgently seeking Groundworkers / Civil Operatives to join an established civils team supporting infrastructure and maintenance works on a major industrial project in Bedfordshire.
This role would suit individuals with experience in groundworks, civil engineering maintenance, repairs, drainage works, and general site operations. We are looking for practical, hands-on operatives who can contribute immediately and work safely within a busy site environment.

Key Duties
- General groundworks and civil engineering activities
- Infrastructure repairs and maintenance
- Manhole and drainage repair works, including sealing and reinstatement activities
- Concrete and reinstatement works
- Excavation support and finishing works
- General handyman and maintenance tasks
- Assisting supervisors and site teams to deliver works safely and efficiently
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in groundworks or civil engineering projects
- Ability to undertake a variety of civils, repair and maintenance activities
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card
- Experience with drainage, chambers and manhole repair works
- CPCS or NPORS qualifications
- NRSWA / Street Works accreditation
- First Aid qualification
