Role Overview

We are looking for experienced Groundworkers / Dumper Drivers to join our team on projects across Dartford, focusing on the installation of ground beams and foundations.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in groundworks, including preparation for reinforced concrete ground beams, excavation works, backfilling, and operating forward tipping dumpers. You will play a key role in delivering works safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.

We have long-term work available, 10 hours paid per day, with competitive rates for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of groundwork associated with ground beam and foundation construction.
  • Excavate and prepare trenches for ground beams and foundation works.
  • Assist with the installation of reinforcement, formwork, and concrete pours.
  • Carry out backfilling, levelling, and compaction works.
  • Operate a Forward Tipping Dumper safely and efficiently around site.
  • Transport materials, aggregates, spoil, and equipment as required.
  • Assist with drainage, ducting, and service installation where required.
  • Work from site drawings, levels, and supervisor instructions.
  • Support plant operators and work safely around excavators and other machinery.
  • Undertake hand digging around live services when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and compliant working environment.
  • Work effectively as part of a gang to achieve programme deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Proven experience in groundworks and foundation works.
  • Experience working on ground beams, foundations, and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Valid CPCS or NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper qualification.
  • Ability to work from drawings and site instructions.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites.
  • Must be clean shaven to comply with site face-fit and RPE requirements.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Right to work in the UK.

  • CPCS/NPORS Ride-On Roller.
  • Excavator qualification.
  • CSCS-affiliated NPORS card with hologram.
  • Safety Critical Medical.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Experience working on residential housing developments.
