Essential Role Requirements

  • Able to read drawings and relevant documentation
  • Dumper Ticket
  • You will need to be competent in the use and set up of trench boxes, drag boxes, and manhole boxes
  • Must be able to use pipe lasers
  • Lay Concrete, Clay, and Plastic Pipes (all sizes). Ensuring pipes are tested and laid on correct bed and surround
  • Manage ground water, setting up correct size pump for the job in hand
  • Ensuring backfilling to trenches is correct
  • Benching of all manholes
  • Experienced working around live services, and in service avoidance techniques
  • External Works/Kerbs/Edgings/slabs/block paving
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the correct use of materials and products relating to underground drainage, road make up and formation, kerbing, slab laying, block paving and external works (hard and soft landscaping)
  • Able to competently carry out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks, and communicate service requirements in good time to the site management team

Desirable

  • Additional CPCS/NPORS* tickets and experienced in operating any of the following: Telehandlers, Dumpers and Rollers
  • 5-10+ Years experience in skilled groundworks
  • Experienced working gangs/teams highly sought after with this role
