Role Description
The Groundworker will be a full-time, on-site position based in Northampton and travelling around, on a variety of groundwork and surfacing projects.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Site preparation
- Excavation
- Laying and compacting sub-bases
- Assisting with the installation of tarmacadam, asphalt, block paving, and resin surfaces
The role involves operating hand tools and light machinery, following site plans and instructions, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

The Groundworker will work closely with other team members, adhere to health and safety standards, and help ensure projects are completed on time and to a high quality. Occasional travel to nearby sites within the surrounding counties may be required.

Qualifications
- Possession of a valid CSCS Card and understanding of CSCS safety standards.
- Practical experience in groundworks, including excavation, drainage, and site preparation.
- Skills or experience in landscaping, such as soft and hard landscaping and site finishing.
- Previous experience in surfacing (tarmacadam, asphalt, block paving, or resin) is highly beneficial.
- Ability to follow instructions, read basic site plans, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Full UK driving licence and reliable transport to reach sites is an advantage.
