Based in Blaydon, Newcastle, covering projects across the North East.
Salary
£50,000–£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus company vehicle.

Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Groundworks Contracts Manager to oversee residential groundworks packages across multiple projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contracts from pre-start planning through to completion and handover.
- Oversee site managers, supervisors, subcontractors and direct labour.
- Plan programmes, resources, plant and materials across projects.
- Monitor costs and progress with the commercial team, identifying variations and addressing risks early.
- Review drawings, specifications and site requirements with technical teams.
- Maintain health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Lead progress meetings and keep clients informed of performance and upcoming works.
- Ensure defects are resolved and handover requirements are met.

About You
- Experience managing groundworks contracts, or a strong track record in groundworks site or project management with the ability to progress into a contracts management role.
- Strong technical knowledge of foundations, drainage, infrastructure and external works.
- Experience overseeing multiple sites, programmes and teams.
- Commercial awareness, including cost control and managing variations.
- Confident communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant construction and health and safety qualifications.
- Full driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
