Looking for Groundworks General Foremen
Here at JN Bentley we are looking for enthusiastic and positive Groundworks General Foremen to work on our civils sites who ideally are located in or around the Poole / Bournemouth area, to work across the region on our sites working on Wessex Water civils projects.
Role Responsibilities
In the role you will supervise several gangs and support Site Managers on various civils sites predominantly within the water industry. Experience within the water industry and / or heavy civils infrastructure industry experience is essential.
You will have a proactive attitude towards work and health and safety, with ideally experience overseeing civils works within the water industry and general civils work such as concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying.
Candidate Specification
- Experience managing gangs working on civils projects within water industry, such as civils works on water treatment sites or reservoirs
- A positive attitude towards work, along with the ability to maintain high standards of health and safety
- Current CSCS, CPCS or NPORS
- SSSTS / SMSTS
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Confident IT Skills
- Experience budgeting and forecasting
- Experience creating risk and method statements
- Experience conducting daily briefings, site inductions, method statement rollout and progress meetings
- Enthusiasm to mentor and develop teams
- Knowledge of Permits to work
