Job Title: Group Account Lead – New Business & Client Development

Location: London and Brackley – Hybrid (plus travel as required)

We are Strata!

Strata Group is a collective of award-winning specialist agencies, united by one ambition: to help people and brands on a mission create meaningful, memorable and measurable experiences.

Across the Group, we bring together expertise spanning strategy, creative, experiential, events, production, technical delivery, audience engagement, incentives and specialist services. Together, we offer clients one partner, uniting experts – giving them access to the right combination of people and capabilities for every challenge.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Group Account Lead to work across Strata Group, providing senior client leadership wherever the greatest opportunity or need exists.

This is not a traditional Account Director role attached to one agency, sector or permanent client portfolio. You will operate across the Group, leading significant pitches and new business opportunities, bringing together the right expertise from across Strata group and helping turn newly won business into successful long-term client relationships.

Following a successful pitch, you will typically lead the new client relationship for approximately the first six months, establishing strong relationships, ways of working and commercial foundations before handing the account to the most appropriate permanent team.

Your role is to make our promise of one partner, uniting experts real for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

New Business & Pitches

  • Lead strategically important pitches, proposals and RFP responses across Strata Group.
  • Take ownership of the pitch process from qualification and brief through to final presentation.
  • Bring together the right Strategy, Creative, Production, Technical, Operations and Commercial expertise.
  • Understand prospective clients, their audiences, objectives and commercial challenges.
  • Help shape compelling strategic and creative responses.
  • Lead senior client presentations with confidence and credibility.
  • Represent the breadth of Strata Group's capabilities rather than an individual agency or service.

Establishing New Client Relationships

Following a successful appointment, you will typically take senior ownership of the relationship for approximately six months, including:

  • Acting as the senior client lead and building trusted stakeholder relationships.
  • Translating commitments made during the pitch into successful delivery.
  • Establishing account governance, communication and ways of working.
  • Ensuring the client receives an exceptional introduction to Strata Group.
  • Identifying opportunities to introduce relevant expertise and capabilities from across the Group.
  • Establishing strong commercial controls, forecasting and account-management disciplines.
  • Identifying opportunities to grow and broaden the relationship.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Handover & Transition

Once the relationship is established, you will work with Group leadership to identify the most appropriate long-term home for the client.

You will manage a structured handover, ensuring client knowledge, relationships, commercial information and ways of working transfer effectively to the permanent account team.

The objective is simple: leave behind a strong, trusted and commercially sustainable client relationship before moving on to the next opportunity.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the below experience:

  • Significant senior client-facing experience within an experiential, events, brand experience or integrated creative agency.
  • Strong experiential and live experience credentials.
  • Experience working successfully across multiple industry sectors.
  • A proven track record of leading significant pitches and new business opportunities.
  • Experience establishing and developing newly won client relationships.
  • Confidence engaging with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and margin management.
  • A broad understanding of strategy, creative, production, technical and operational delivery.
  • Experience bringing together and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • The ability to understand unfamiliar businesses and sectors quickly.
  • The flexibility to move between different clients, agencies, teams and opportunities.

The Person

You will be entrepreneurial, commercially minded and client focused, with the confidence to take ownership of an opportunity and create momentum around it.

You will be comfortable leading without hierarchy, bringing together specialists from across the Group and establishing credibility quickly with both clients and internal teams.

Most importantly, you will understand that you do not need to be the expert in everything – you need to know how to unite the experts.

What Success Looks Like

Success means increasing Strata Group's capacity to pursue and win important opportunities, ensuring new clients experience the best of the Group from day one, and creating strong relationships that our permanent teams can continue to grow.

Employee Benefits

  • 25 days annual leave, plus usual Bank Holidays
  • Birthday day off
  • Private Health Insurance*
  • Workplace pension scheme
  • Death in service scheme
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Regular social events
