SRM Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading international real estate business — one of the pre-eminent players in their sector — on the search for a Group Accountant to join their Group Finance team in London.
This is a great opportunity for a newly/recently qualified accountant (ACA, CA, or ACCA) with a background in a major accountancy firm (likely Big 4, but they are open to a candidate working in a Top 10 firm to move into industry), with real scope to develop through exposure to Group financial close and reporting, business finance transformation projects, and regional stakeholder partnering.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ownership of monthly Group financial close and consolidated reporting
- Running analytical reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
- Identifying and driving improvements to financial processes, enhancing efficiency across the finance function
- Producing internal reporting for senior management across multiple regional business units
- Involvement in wider Finance transformation initiatives
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business decision-making

The successful candidate will likely be/look like:
- Most likely a candidate working in a Big 4 (or larger firm) at Senior Associate / Audit Assistant Manager level looking for their first industry move.
- You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, ACA) ideally first-time passes, minimum 1 year PQE
- Technically strong, with excellent Excel skills and experience handling large, complex data sets with demonstrable experience of auditing complex large, multi-national organisations
- Exposure to organisations within the real estate or adjacent sectors would be a distinct advantage.
- We’re also looking for someone highly organised, with the highest standards of accuracy and precision
- Energetic and driven, comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinker, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
- Self-starter, comfortable building own processes and working across multiple/new data
