Interim Group Accountant

Hybrid Working
Day rate £500 to £650 per day
Euston – London
Contract - 3 to 4 Months

T2M Resourcing have been appointed to recruit an Interim Group Accountant role for a leading software services company due to internal promotion. On an interim basis of 3 to 4 months this hybrid role (3 days in the office / 2 days flexible) is within easy walking distance of London Euston and Kings Cross railway stations!

This privately equity backed group has an exceptional customer base and comprises a number of group companies that complement each other, generating multiple recurring revenue streams. The role requires a technically strong qualified accountant with prior experience of working as a Group Accountant or auditing group companies.

What will you be doing?

As Interim Group Accountant you will report to the Group Financial and your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for all aspects of month end management accounts and statutory reporting processes (UK GAAP & IFRS), consolidating results from multiple UK and US entities.
  • Ensure all statutory reporting requirements are submitted on a timely basis, including CT, VAT & R&D tax credit submissions.
  • Being the key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations for all group companies.
  • Cashflow reporting and treasury management including some client cash accounting funds.
  • Accounting for and processing group cost recharges.
  • Take the initiative on improving processes and procedures, making best use of technology (including AI) to ensure that the business can scale up whilst being highly efficient.
  • Work with the Head of FP&A to ensure the flow of high quality and accurate data & insights.
  • Work with the group Financial Controller and other senior leadership team members on the delivery of ad-hoc projects.

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA) with prior experience of working in a similar group accounting role.
  • Great IT skills (particularly Excel) with a strong interest in implementing new technology to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills (at all levels) with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Passionate about accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Highly efficient but relaxed in style – the company has a friendly and collegiate culture where staff take personable accountability but love working as part of a team.
  • A good level ‘self-awareness’ – able to identify personal development needs as well as key strengths that contribute to the overall success of the business.

Please note: Candidates MUST be committed to working in the office 2 days per week (3 days WFH / flexible) and have the right work in the UK on a permanent basis without the need for sponsorship.
