What you’ll do
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial information to support Group consolidated results at month end, forecast, and budget cycles. Deliver timely and insightful reports to the Group Executive and Board, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- External Reporting: Participate in the preparation and review of external reporting including the Group Annual Report and Interim Statement, applying IFRS standards and ensuring compliance.
- Process Improvement & System Development: Support continuous improvement initiatives and the development of financial systems such as OneStream to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
- Governance & Compliance: Contribute to maintaining and strengthening a robust governance environment for financial reporting across the Group, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and internal controls.
- Role Dynamics: Take ownership of specific balance sheet areas and reporting tasks, demonstrating self-motivation and attention to detail. Manage workload effectively during peak periods, including occasional extended hours to meet deadlines.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal travel expected; primarily office and remote work within a hybrid setup.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
- Recently qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge and IFRS expertise.
- Experience or strong awareness of Group management and statutory reporting, ideally within a FTSE 250 or large corporate environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning financial systems such as OneStream.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior management and deliver accurate, detailed financial information under tight deadlines.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in consolidation and foreign exchange complexities.
- Background in Big 4 or large group accounting environments.
- Exposure to process improvement and financial system implementation projects.
- Newly qualified candidates with strong potential are preferred but 1-2 years post-qualification experience is also encouraged.
