We are partnered with one of the largest PE-backed companies in the UK that was formally FTSE listed but acquired by a PE giant, and currently have a revenue of approximately £14bn.
About the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a key role in a broad-ranging Group Finance team:
- Contribute to timely and accurate reporting across the IFRS consolidated Groups and statutory UK GAAP reporting
- Develop internal relationships with a variety of stakeholders to generate knowledge and understanding of operating activities and associated financial reporting
- Utilise central view to ensure consistency across the Group
- Assist with advice to local teams using sound technical knowledge
- Support FP&A activities particularly during forecast and budget processes
- Maintain and improve financial reporting procedures

About Group Finance
The integrated Group Finance function is responsible for financial reporting, technical accounting, FP&A, M&A, treasury, and other areas of specialism including tax, VAT, and insurance. They like each member of the team to have high levels of exposure to all these different areas, making individuals well-rounded in all areas of group finance.

Candidate Profile
This position is a development role for a recently qualified accountant with aspirations to work for an organisation offering longer-term opportunities. Previous team members have progressed into positions within operating divisions or been promoted within Group Finance.
This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant from a top audit programme looking for their first industry role out of practice. Audit experience would ideally be from a range of industry sectors dealing with large and complex group audits under IFRS involving group consolidation testing.
