About the Role

CATAGEN is excited to be offering a rare opportunity for a finance professional to step into a fast-growing, innovative company operating at the cutting edge of sustainability and net-zero technologies. We’re entering a major phase of commercialisation, and we’re looking for an ambitious accountant who wants to help shape the financial future of a business that has real momentum.

As a Group Accountant, you’ll work directly with the VP of Finance and other key leaders in CATAGEN to support the Company’s next stage of growth. You'll be supported by an experienced leadership team, encouraged to develop new skills, and given clear opportunities for progression as the business continues to grow. If you're proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where no two days are the same, this role offers the chance to make a real impact while accelerating your career.

You’ll join at a moment when the foundations are in place, the trajectory is credible, and the upside is real. For the right person, this is a chance to build something significant, for the company, for your career, and for the impact we’re making in the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts for individual entities within the Group.
  • Monitoring daily cash flow and supporting weekly and rolling budgets and forecasts.
  • Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and external audit processes.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes and reporting.
  • Supporting in the management of customers and suppliers across the group.
  • Assisting with the preparation of investor/key stakeholder reporting information.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Business partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to provide financial insight.
  • Support with funding/grant applications and the financial monitoring and claim process for live projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
