The Group Accountant Role
The Group Accountant role in West-Sussex focuses on managing financial reporting and consolidation across the transport and distribution industry. You'll play a key part in ensuring accurate financial records and supporting decision-making processes.

Description
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports for the group.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Review and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.

Profile
A successful Group Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Solid technical accounting knowledge, particularly in financial reporting and consolidation.
- Experience working in a similar role, ideally within the transport and distribution industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a hybrid working model.

Job Offer
- Salary between £60,000 and £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Hybrid working arrangements for added flexibility.
