The Role
We're looking for a Group Accounting Manager to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, strong financial controls and valuable commercial insight across our central business functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with business partnering, process improvement and team leadership. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help ensure high-quality financial reporting, support informed decision-making and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
This role will be based in our new European HQ in Leeds, West Yorkshire
Your Key Responsibilities
As Group Accounting Manager, you'll:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts for central business functions
- Review monthly performance reporting, analysis and financial insights
- Take ownership of key accounting period controls and reporting processes
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure a strong control environment
- Drive consistency in accounting practices and cost allocation methodologies across the business
- Lead and maintain robust financial processes and governance
- Support and lead ad hoc projects, analysis and business improvement initiatives
- Manage and develop a team of two accountants/finance assistants
- Support the delivery of clean and efficient external audits
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and tax computations
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business

The Ideal Candidate
You'll be a qualified finance professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You'll Ideally Have
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- At least two years' post-qualification industry experience
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- The ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex financial information
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The confidence to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business
- Advanced spreadsheet skills
It Would Also Be Advantageous To Have
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or an international business environment
- Working knowledge of SAP accounting systems
