Right now, we are looking for a Group Activities Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our Complex Needs Service in Kensington & Chelsea.
What will I be doing?
The Group Activities Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating community-based activities that support adults with mental health needs to increase independence, wellbeing and social inclusion. The role involves providing management support to Group Facilitators, volunteers and students, leading and motivating the team, overseeing service delivery, responding to complex casework issues, building partnerships with external stakeholders, and ensuring activities meet the diverse cultural needs of service users. The post holder is also responsible for staff recruitment, supervision, training, performance management and ensuring services are delivered in line with organisational policies and best practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with mental health needs and a strong understanding of service user engagement, particularly for individuals who may be reluctant to access support. They should have experience of co-production, promoting equality and diversity, managing services and budgets, and involving service users in shaping service delivery. Excellent knowledge of mental health conditions, relevant housing and welfare legislation, and safeguarding principles is essential, along with strong leadership, communication and partnership-building skills. Candidates should also be confident using IT systems to maintain accurate records, produce reports and monitor the quality of service delivery.
