Lead the Future of Aftersales Across a Growing Family-Owned Motor Group
Hills are a long-established, family-owned motor group with a proud reputation for exceptional customer care, community involvement, and automotive excellence. Representing Ford, Geely, and Pilote Motorhomes alongside our independent workshop operation at BH Motors, we operate across multiple sites in Worcestershire and the West Midlands, supporting thousands of retail and business customers every year.
Due to continued growth and exciting opportunities within our aftersales operations, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially-minded Group Aftersales Manager to lead, support, and develop our aftersales teams across all locations.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong operational expertise with a passion for customer service, team development, and business growth.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Directors, you will work closely with our Aftersales Managers and departmental teams to ensure we exceed group budgets, maximize performance, and continue to deliver the high standards our customers expect.
You will have responsibility for supporting and developing our:
- Ford Car Service Departments
- Ford Commercial Vehicle Service Operations
- Geely Service & Parts Operations
- Motorhome & Camper Service Operations
- BH Motors Independent Service Centre
- Group Parts Operations
The successful candidate will provide leadership across all sites, identify opportunities for growth and efficiency, support teams during busy periods or staff shortages, and ensure operational excellence throughout the business. This role involves regular travel and working between our locations in Kidderminster, Worcester, and Malvern.

Key Responsibilities
Business Performance & Growth
- Drive the achievement and delivery of group aftersales budgets and profitability targets.
- Develop and implement new initiatives to increase labor sales, parts turnover, vehicle health checks, service plans, and customer retention.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and departmental performance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators across all aftersales operations.
- Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and manufacturer programs.
Leadership & Team Development
- Coach, support, and develop Aftersales Managers and departmental teams.
- Promote a positive, high-performance culture aligned with our family business values.
- Assist with recruitment, succession planning, and team development.
- Provide operational support and cover during periods of staff absence or increased workload.
- Ensure consistent standards and best practices across all sites.
Customer Experience
- Drive exceptional customer satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure customer concerns are handled professionally and effectively.
- Promote a customer-first culture throughout all aftersales departments.
- Work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams to enhance customer loyalty and ownership experience.
Compliance & Standards
- Act as Group Health & Safety Lead, ensuring policies, procedures, and safe working practices are maintained across all locations.
- Oversee Group MOT operations, ensuring compliance with DVSA regulations and testing standards.
- Ensure all Ford, Geely, and Pilote manufacturer franchise standards are achieved and maintained.
- Support preparation for manufacturer audits and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, and industry regulations.
About You
You will be an experienced automotive aftersales professional with the credibility and leadership skills to influence teams and drive performance across a multi-site operation.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior automotive aftersales leadership position.
- Strong understanding of service, workshop, and parts operations.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering growth and achieving financial targets.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence.
- Good understanding of workshop systems, KPIs, and operational processes.
- Full UK driving license.
Desirable
- Multi-site management experience.
- Franchised dealer experience.
- Knowledge of DVSA MOT compliance requirements.
- Health & Safety management experience or relevant qualification.
- Experience preparing for and managing manufacturer audits.
