The Role

The Group Insight & Analysis Director is a new senior leadership role created as part of Soho House's Commercial Finance transformation, established to sit at the forefront of AI-enabled applications within Commercial Finance. The role establishes a dedicated, specialist insight and analytics capability, moving Commercial Finance away from transactional reporting and towards forward-looking, AI-enabled insight that drives trade performance and shapes decisions across Membership, Food & Beverage, Rooms, Health & Wellbeing and strategic space planning.

This is a value- and growth-oriented role. The Director will drive trade initiatives through forward-looking insight, and will own and manage key, critical projects across the business — including pricing, cost management and other growth plans — supporting initiatives such as labour scheduling projects and trade-driving programmes. Through a constant cadence of daily and weekly insight, the Director will hold the business to account for performance, ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence and focused on value creation. The role also supports both Operational FP&A and Group FP&A with budgeting and forecasting, providing the site-level insight needed for operational execution.

Leading a dedicated team of senior insight and analytics professionals, the Director will work in close partnership with the Digital and Data Science teams — including our data scientist(s) — to embed AI-enabled analytics, automation and advanced data modelling into how Soho House understands its Members and drives commercial performance. The role is instrumental in shaping data architecture and insight capability in collaboration with Digital, rather than duplicating it within Finance.

Key Responsibilities

Trade Performance, Growth & Value Creation

  • Drive trade-driving initiatives across the business, providing forward-looking insight that identifies and unlocks commercial value and growth opportunities.
  • Own and manage key, critical cross-business projects — including pricing, cost management and other growth plans — ensuring insight-led, value-oriented decision-making.
  • Support operational and commercial projects such as labour scheduling initiatives and trade-driving programmes, providing analytical rigour and commercial challenge.
  • Conduct rigorous trend analysis and forward-looking insight across trade and commercial performance, working hand-in-hand with strategic operators and business leaders to generate clear recommendations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Own a constant cadence of daily and weekly performance insight, holding the business to account for delivery against trade and commercial performance targets.

FP&A Partnering & Site Insight

  • Support Group FP&A with budgeting and forecasting, providing site and business-level insight that strengthens the accuracy and quality of the Group Budget & Forecast and R&O process.
  • Support Operational FP&A with budgeting and forecasting, providing detailed site insight to inform trade and operational planning.
  • Own site-level insight for operational execution, ensuring analysis translates into practical, actionable recommendations that support delivery on the ground.

Commercial Insight & Analytics

  • Lead dedicated, specialist insight and analysis across Membership (Houses, Soho One, CWH and Friends), providing forward-looking recommendations at site, regional and Group level.
  • Own commercial analysis of Food & Beverage performance, including menu engineering, pricing strategy and gross margin mix.
  • Lead pricing, optimisation and analytics for Rooms, supporting revenue management and yield decisions across the House portfolio.
  • Provide dedicated insight and analysis to the Health & Wellbeing business, informing performance and growth decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Lead the development of AI-enabled, self-service dashboards and analytics tools that give operational and commercial leaders faster, more consistent access to insight.

  • Lead and develop a dedicated team of senior insight and analytics professionals, building specialist capability across core business areas.

  • Proven track record building and leading specialist insight/analytics teams that partner effectively with Digital, Data Science and Technology functions.
  • Deep expertise in commercial analytics across membership, F&B and rooms/revenue management, including pricing, mix and margin analysis.
  • Hands-on experience embedding AI-enabled analytics, automation and predictive/advanced modelling into commercial decision-making, ideally gained working directly alongside data scientists or a data science function, with a track record of piloting new AI tools ahead of the wider business.
  • Experience operating a fast-paced, daily/weekly insight and reporting cadence, holding operational and commercial teams to account for performance.
  • Strong trend analysis and forward-looking insight skills, with a track record of partnering directly with strategic operators and senior business leaders to shape recommendations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong data visualisation and insight communication skills, able to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for the C-Suite.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
