Group Audit Manager - Wrexham - site based

Role Overview:
To ensure, by implementing a planned audit programme, that the Company Systems and procedures comply with legal, food safety, customer codes of practice and environmental health requirements. To drive compliance and continuous improvement in:
- COP gap analysis and risk assessment
- Group Internal audit risk assessment
- The Oscar Mayer Group Governance audit
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- To ensure that the Oscar Mayer Quality and Food Safety System is risk assessed, and an internal audit schedule is documented to cover all 3 sites and their customer and accreditation requirements. This will be through a manual method initially and then in the digital system that Oscar Mayer adopts.
- To ensure that the site teams have enough trained and competent internal auditors to complete the schedule cross functionally. This will be collaborative with the site Technical Manager.
- Complete 2-3 Internal audits at each site under the direction of the Group Technical Services Manager. Support as part of the internal audit team.
- To ensure the close out of the non-conformances raised at sites for internal and external audits within the agreed timeframes and that responses have been sent back to the relevant 3rd party via the Site Head of Technical / Technical Manager. A KPI report to be submitted via the reporting systems used by Oscar Mayer.
- To trend and identify reoccurring non-conformances raised via internal and external audits and publish these to the wider group.
- To ensure that all Customer and accreditation standards have an up-to-date gap analysis completed, and this is filtered into the 3 sites (where relevant) so that their site quality manuals and procedures can be kept up to date. This will eventually filter into a Group Quality Management system once in place.
- To ensure that all relevant legislation affecting food safety & legality are being followed at Oscar Mayer and across the 3 sites through the quality management systems in place.
- To support the Group Technical Services Manager in delivering the digital quality management system.
- To support the Group Technical Services Manager in writing the Group Quality Management System and rolling it out across the 3 sites.
- To support the Group Technical Services Manager in writing the Governance Standard for Oscar Mayer and ensuring that routine audits are completed against this standard by the external audit company that Oscar Mayer engages with.
- To support the Group Technical Services Manager in the auditing of the sites for hygiene and systems where required.
- Any other duties or projects as agreed with the Group Technical Services Manager.

Qualification:
- Food Safety Level 3 as a minimum
- HACCP Level 3 as a minimum
- Internal audit training completed
- Lead Auditor Qualification (desirable)
Knowledge & Experience:
- Worked in a systems type of role for a minimum of 3 years.
- 3 years’ experience within Chilled Manufacturing (High Care and / or High Risk).
- Understands BRC, customer and accreditation requirements and can access the various systems.
- Understand how to complete a risk assessment
- Understand how a digital quality system works (desirable)
