About The Role
The Bid and Content Writer is a dual-focused role responsible for driving revenue through compelling, high-quality writing. Your main focus will be to translate complex concepts into persuasive, tailored proposals to win commercial contracts, while also producing engaging, brand-aligned marketing content that strengthens Mecsia Group’s external profile and supports customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
CRM
- Create engaging and high-quality content for bid responses, websites, social media and online channels to convey the key messages and impact of Mecsia Group to a broad range of stakeholders
- Building response timelines, managing input from subject matter experts, and driving their own writing tasks to hit strict submission deadlines
- Ensure all submissions rigorously adhere to evaluation criteria, client guidelines, and strict deadlines
- Ensure all supplementary bid documents and presentations, such as case studies, capability statements and images align perfectly with company brand guidelines and professional design standards
- Contribute high-impact insight into the development of compelling win themes, strategic positioning, and visual storytelling, ensuring all messaging reflects market insight, client drivers, and our commercial priorities
- Maintain and update a central repository of approved bid templates, case studies and company data for future use
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Communications Strategy, through effective content scheduling and the publication of written articles, blog posts and case studies
- Repurpose approved bid, technical and marketing content for different audiences and channels
- Build strong relationships across the Group to identify subject matter experts, thought leaders and technical specialists, gathering insight that strengthens bids, content and external communications
- Gather project evidence, technical insight and customer stories from teams across the Group
- Edit and proofread copy to ensure tone of voice consistency across all external communication channels

Key Skills & Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role with proven track record of writing complex bids in the Hard FM, technical services, or building services sector
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose carefully crafted and persuasive correspondence to a variety of stakeholders
- Confidence interviewing technical and operational colleagues to turn complex information into clear, compelling content
- An eye for detail and strong structural planning skills
- Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of how bids and content support business growth
- An eye for design consistency, such as managing colour palettes, font hierarchies, spacing, and image resolution
- Self-motivated, be ambitious and have the ability to work well within a team and independently
- Have a good understanding of social media platforms, with experience preparing high quality online content for websites, press or social media
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels of an organisation
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively
- Ability to work on own initiative to meet objectives and deadlines across a wide range of tasks, maintaining high organisational skills
- Excellent Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign
