About Us

The PA is a beacon of trust for news, content and data.

At the heart of our group is the Press Association, the UK and Ireland’s national news agency, trusted for its impartiality, accuracy and speed for more than 150 years. We bring these standards to everything we do, from news and sports data to content creation and communications.

We’re combining AI and emerging technology with the expertise, judgement and originality of our people; helping us work smarter, explore new ideas and create greater value for our customers.

Now, we’re beginning an exciting new chapter at West Village in Leeds city centre and looking for talented people to help shape what comes next.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced, commercially focused finance leader to lead our Commercial Finance team on a 15-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave.

Finance at The PA has undergone a significant transformation, and this is much more than a caretaker role. You’ll strengthen our approach to proactive FP&A and trusted business partnering, while providing insight that improves business performance.

A planned handover with the current role holder will give you valuable context, helping you make an early impact and leave a lasting legacy.

Regular UK travel is required, including travel to London around once or twice a month.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
