Group Consolidation Accountant - Role Summary:

This is a Group-level finance opportunity supporting the Group Consolidation Manager and Group Financial Controller with statutory consolidation and external reporting activities. The role would suit a part-qualified or qualified accountant with exposure to group reporting, intercompany accounting, and IFRS.

This role would be ideal for a Part-Qualified Accountant with an Audit or practice background who has some technical accounting exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the Group's intercompany matrix and balance records.
  • Reconcile, investigate, and eliminate intercompany balances across the Group.
  • Partner with regional finance teams to resolve intercompany discrepancies.
  • Resolve historic intercompany accounting issues.
  • Ensure intercompany loans are appropriately documented and supported by agreements.
  • Monitor and validate intercompany interest calculations and postings.
  • Assist with monthly Group statutory consolidations.
  • Support the annual external audit process.
  • Assist with acquisition accounting and integration activities.
  • Prepare technical accounting papers and IFRS-related analyses.
  • Support year-end accounting adjustments, including areas such as IFRS 2, IFRS 9, and IFRS 16.
  • Assist with Audit Committee reporting packs.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual compliance reporting.
  • Produce lender reporting and covenant-related information.
  • Contribute to process improvements and wider Group Finance projects.

Ideal Candidate

  • Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Previous exposure to group reporting or statutory consolidation.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with finance teams across multiple regions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving Group Finance environment.
