This is a pivotal senior role at an important stage in CSL’s development, offering a significant opportunity to shape the future estate of a diverse, multi-campus college group.
Role Overview
The Group Estates Director will lead the strategic development of high-quality, sustainable, and financially resilient learning and working environments that support learners, staff, and the long-term ambitions of UCS College Group.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Managing Director Corporate Services, the Group Estates Director will provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of the Group’s long-term estate strategy and capital programme across a significant and diverse operational estate, including four campuses, residential accommodation, and commercial leases.

- Ensure the estate supports curriculum priorities, learner and staff experience, commercial growth, sustainability, compliance, financial resilience, and effective use of Group assets.
- Translate Group strategy into a prioritised estate roadmap, robust investment cases, and well-governed capital programmes.
- Provide strategic direction and assurance, with day-to-day operational estates and facilities delivery led through the relevant Heads of Service.
- Work closely with the Managing Director, Group SLT, College leaders, professional advisers, contractors, funders, and external partners.
- Line manage the Group Head of Estate Services, Group Head of Facilities, and Group Project Managers.
