Company Description

BXR London is a high-end boxing-themed gym in Marylebone, dedicated to helping members build a championship mindset. The gym provides training standards, facilities, and guidance aligned with those used by professional athletes, welcoming individuals of all abilities. With boxing discipline at its core, BXR London offers combat sports, strength and conditioning, circuit training, group classes, clinic treatments, and nutrition advice. The team consists of elite trainers, including respected boxing coaches, ex-champion boxers, current professional fighters, strength and conditioning specialists, and mindset mentors, creating a performance-focused environment for both staff and members.

Role Description

The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering engaging group fitness classes that reflect BXR London’s boxing-led training philosophy. This on-site role, based in London, includes designing safe and effective workouts, demonstrating proper technique, and adapting exercises for different fitness levels and abilities. The instructor will motivate and support members, provide guidance on correct form, and foster an inclusive, high-energy studio environment. Additional responsibilities include monitoring class attendance, maintaining equipment and training spaces, collaborating with other trainers, and promoting BXR programs and services. The role may involve flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to meet member demand.

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Group Exercise and Group Exercise Instruction to deliver safe, effective, and engaging classes.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Fitness Instruction and Training to coach members through structured sessions and progressions.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Exercise Physiology to design workouts that support performance, safety, and recovery.
  • Relevant fitness certifications (e.g., group exercise, personal training, boxing or combat fitness) and current first aid/CPR qualifications are highly beneficial.
  • Experience teaching group classes in a gym or studio setting, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants are required.
  • Background or interest in boxing, combat disciplines, or athletic performance training is an advantage.
