As a Group Exercise Instructor your role will be vital to the delivery of the Group Exercise programmes at the centres. The programmes are important from both a community engagement perspective and also for the contribution to the financial viability of the centres.
It will be your responsibility to plan and deliver fun and engaging group exercise classes. You will also be responsible for routine checks, housekeeping standards, and customer safety within the class environment.
As you go about your work, you will regularly interact with customers and will do so in a warm and welcoming way. You will often be the team member that customers build a relationship and trust with, and therefore you will have a great deal of responsibility for representing LeisureSK in a professional and efficient manner; remaining calm in difficult situations, being proactive in dealing with issues yourself where possible or reporting immediately to management if not.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
