We Are BBC Studios
A globally renowned media company borne of the BBC. We make and distribute the world’s most sought-after TV, audio, and digital content.
Our ambition is to be the home of the most powerful, entertaining, and inspiring stories for people all around the world.
Purpose of the Role
Join BBC Commercial Group Finance as a Finance Analyst – Management Reporting & Consolidation, a role that combines financial reporting expertise with finance systems ownership.
This is not a traditional reporting role and it is not purely a finance systems role. We are looking for someone who can bridge both disciplines, translating financial reporting requirements into robust system processes and ensuring the integrity of our consolidation and reporting environment.
You'll play a key role in delivering consolidated management reporting to senior stakeholders while acting as a key finance contact for SAP BPC and related reporting systems. Working closely with Finance, Technology, and external partners, you'll help ensure reporting is accurate, efficient, and supported by strong controls and governance.
Why Join the Team
You'll join a collaborative and highly visible finance function at the centre of BBC Commercial Group's reporting and planning processes.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical finance expertise with hands-on systems responsibility. You'll help shape how financial information is consolidated, reported, and delivered to senior leadership, while driving system improvements, automation, and process optimisation across a complex commercial organisation.
If you enjoy solving problems, working across teams, and combining finance knowledge with systems capability, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact.

- Support financial controls and governance processes across the reporting cycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
