At Corston, we create beautifully considered architectural details for homes and commercial spaces. From switches and sockets to lighting and hardware, everything we design is built around timeless design, exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a Group Finance Assistant to join our Finance team and support the continued development of our international operations.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance team, you'll play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a growing business and gain exposure across a broad range of accounting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting month-end processes
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Assisting with management accounts preparation
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Supporting year-end and audit activities
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with finance projects and process improvements as required

About You

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant position
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across the business

An AAT qualification, or studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA, would be advantageous but is not essential.
