CMA Executive is partnering with a highly successful international manufacturing business to appoint a Finance Director.

Operating at circa £120m revenue, the organisation has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service across global markets. With an established international footprint, extensive export activity, and a diverse customer base, the business continues to invest in growth, product development, and operational excellence.

The opportunity has arisen following the promotion of the current Finance Director into a Managing Director role elsewhere within the wider group. As a result, the business is seeking an experienced finance leader who can build upon a strong platform and play a key role in shaping future performance and growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Managing Director EMEA and forming part of the senior leadership team, the Finance Director will lead the finance function while partnering closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to drive business performance across the region.

This is a broad and influential role, combining strategic leadership with operational involvement. You will be a trusted adviser to the Managing Director, helping shape business strategy, support commercial decision-making, and ensure the continued delivery of strong financial performance.

Alongside responsibility for the full finance function, the role also provides leadership oversight of IT and significant exposure to international operations, including a global manufacturing and supply chain network.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
