Group Finance Manager (18-Month FTC)

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum + benefits
Location: London (Hybrid)
Industry: Market-Leading Media & Entertainment Business

Are you a technically strong accountant who enjoys financial reporting, accounting standards and complex transactions?

We're partnering with a leading UK-listed business seeking a Group Finance Manager to join their Group Finance team on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on significant corporate transactions, acquisitions and high-profile reporting matters while gaining broad exposure across technical accounting, financial reporting and controllership.

This role would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys interpreting accounting standards, producing technical accounting papers and working through complex reporting challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of Group financial reporting requirements and ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards
  • Research, interpret and apply accounting standards to complex business transactions and reporting matters
  • Prepare technical accounting papers, accounting position papers and reporting documentation for senior stakeholders and auditors
  • Support the accounting treatment of acquisitions, strategic projects and other significant corporate transactions
  • Contribute to half-year and year-end reporting processes
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and reporting guidance
  • Provide technical accounting support to finance teams and business stakeholders across the organisation
  • Support controllership activities, governance processes and financial controls
  • Work closely with technical reporting, consolidation and wider Group Finance teams
  • Produce clear, accurate and high-quality financial reporting documentation

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Open to candidates coming from Big 4, Top 10 or similar accounting firms, as well as those currently working within Group Finance, Financial Reporting, Technical Accounting or Controllership roles
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
  • Experience reviewing or preparing financial statements and technical accounting assessments
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex accounting matters clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
