About SURE Solutions
SURE Solutions is a leading provider of CCTV solutions for buses and is committed to innovation, quality and excellent customer service. We are part of the Newbrick Group, which is backed by private equity and made up of specialist businesses in the transport and mobility sectors. With annual Group turnover approaching £20m and a plan to grow through acquisition, this is a period of real momentum for us. With that comes change, new challenges and plenty of opportunity.
Role Overview
As Group Finance Manager you will run the daily finance operation across both of the Group’s businesses, working closely with the Group Financial Controller. This is a hands-on role where your work will be seen across the business, ideal for someone who enjoys a fast pace and variety and wants to make a real difference as we scale. You will understand the pressure that growing by acquiring other businesses can place on cash, systems, processes and reporting and you will be comfortable adapting as priorities shift.
We would welcome applications from experienced Finance Managers who have worked in small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), businesses that grow by acquiring others, or companies backed by private equity. We are equally keen to hear from ambitious finance professionals who are ready to step up into a broader role. As the finance team grows, there is a clear opportunity for you to manage members of the team directly.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts for each Group company on time
- Explain clearly where results differ from budget or forecast, and why, to help the leadership team make informed decisions
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning
- Review financial controls and carry out internal audits to maintain accuracy and compliance
- Prepare information for external auditors and other professional advisers
- Take responsibility for the weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts and flag any risks or pressures on working capital
- Keep strong financial controls and processes in place as the Group grows and brings in the businesses it acquires
- Work with operational teams to turn sales into cash more quickly and improve overall financial efficiency
- Oversee and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring effective management of supplier payments, customer collections and aged debt.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and financial records are well maintained
- Look for ways to make reporting simpler and quicker and improve how the finance function operates
- Be a trusted source of financial advice for the leadership teams of the group, helping them make sound commercial decisions
- Support operational teams, and challenge them constructively, to improve performance

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
