Group Finance Manager
Bestway Group has grown to become a multinational conglomerate with investments across the wholesale, retail, banking, cement, financial services, real estate, and health care sectors. In order to support future growth and increase the capabilities of our Group Finance department, we now have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, driven, and intelligent Group Finance Manager.
This is a fantastic time for the successful candidate to join us and have the unique opportunity to gain substantial exposure to the business by working closely with our Senior Management Teams, including the Head of Group Finance, Heads of UK and International Portfolio, and Group CEO.
This role will involve taking ownership of all UK Group Entities for key reports generated across, but not limited to, finance, tax, planning, risk, and compliance. The role will also involve working closely with the Head of Group Finance, as well as with the Group function’s International Finance team based in Ireland and the Group’s Portfolio Monitoring teams on Group-led projects.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly Board Packs for the Group Entities encompassing all relevant Group Finance function areas (Finance/Treasury/Tax/Compliance/Projects)
- Review of Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Management accounts for the Group Entities and reporting/highlighting any significant matters
- Preparing and taking ownership of the Annual Group Consolidation process
- Taking ownership over any preparation and assisting with Tax Compliance matters for all group relevant matters and submissions, including annual group Tax returns, Pillar 2, CbCR, Tax Strategy, CIR, etc.
- Preparing the Group Entities cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Taking ownership over preparation of periodic Group Valuations for both internal and external purposes
- Involvement in Annual budget and forecast processes for Group Entities
- Taking ownership over Group Treasury-led work streams (including treasury-driven investment decisions)
- Taking ownership over preparation of data points and KPIs on Group’s website
- Developing relationships with key stakeholders of underlying BUs and acting as a key point of Group contact for key BU functions (finance and non-finance)
- Assist with coordinating with underlying BUs on providing responses to ad-hoc and KYC information requests from banks/credit insurers/regulators/management, etc.
- Review systems, processes, and controls in the Group Finance function
- Take ownership over preparation of key workstreams on Project-driven process (e.g., Group-led restructuring projects, debt financing, investing decisions)
- Collaborating with the Portfolio Monitoring Functions (UK and International) in assisting on Due diligence reports, Returns analysis, Valuations, and related workstreams on potential M&A deals

To take on this exciting opportunity with a mixture of Financial & Management Accounting and FP&A, you will be a qualified accountant, an excellent communicator who has the ability to question the details with exceptional analytical skills. You will have deep knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP as well as exposure to Tax-related workstreams and a high level of proficiency in the preparation of reports for Senior Management.

Role Requirements
- Professionally Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2-3 post-qualification experience
- Substantial experience in Financial and Management Reporting, including multi-jurisdictional consolidations
- Experience in preparing.ppt reports for senior management’s consumption is essential.
- Strong experience managing complex intercompany accounting and multi-entity group structures
- Experience in Tax-related deliverables including Annual tax returns (CbCR/CIR/Pillar 2 experience desirable)
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, Credit Control, Payroll, Treasury, and VAT/CIS.
- A highly commercial mindset with the ability to influence strategic business decisions
- Excellent financial modelling, forecasting, and valuation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail alongside the ability to see the bigger commercial picture
- Outstanding communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders across the business
- Experience improving systems, processes, and financial controls
