An opportunity to join a highly successful, diversified international group at an exciting stage of its growth.
MacGregor Black has been retained by a leading multinational group to appoint a Group Finance Manager into its Group Finance function.
This is a broad and high-profile role, working closely with the Head of Group Finance, Group CEO and senior leadership team, with exposure across the Group’s UK and international operations. The role would suit a qualified accountant who enjoys working across both the detail and the wider commercial picture, rather than being restricted to a traditional reporting position.

- Taking ownership of Group reporting and monthly Board packs across the UK entities
- Leading the annual Group consolidation process and reviewing management accounts
- Managing cash flow reporting, forecasting and elements of Group Treasury
- Supporting Group tax requirements, including CbCR, CIR and Pillar 2
- Preparing Group valuations and supporting investment and financing decisions
- Playing a key role in budgeting, forecasting and wider FP&A activity
- Supporting M&A, due diligence and returns analysis
- Working on Group-led projects including restructuring and debt financing
- Developing strong relationships with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders across the underlying businesses
- Reviewing and improving financial processes, systems and controls

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
