Group Finance Manager - Treasury, AI & Planning
Lucky Egg Group | London, on-site | Reporting to the Finance Director
About us
Lucky Egg is a games and toys business selling through UK and international retail, our own Shopify sites, Amazon and TikTok Shop. We were ranked second on the Sunday Times 100 Fastest Growing Companies 2026, on a 300% CAGR over three years, and we trade through several international entities including in the UK, US and EU. We run a lean finance team, based in London and Bangalore.
Why this role exists
Finance has scaled with a small team, and we intend to keep it that way. This is the UK role that makes that possible. It owns cash, planning and the group's tax position, and the systems and AI that let the function grow without adding heads.
What you'll own
Systems, data and AI
- The finance systems stack, and the data moving between our accounting system, inventory system and sales channels
- Automation that removes work permanently rather than shifting it
- Putting AI onto real finance problems: reconciliations, reporting, compliance monitoring, exception flagging - with a clear head about where it works and where it doesn't
Treasury and cash
- The rolling cash flow forecast, and the decisions that come off it
- Day-to-day treasury across a multi-entity, multi-currency group
- Payment approval, and the controls around the payment run
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Planning and analysis
- Supporting the annual budget and reforecasts
- Review and analysis at channel level - B2B, Amazon, D2C and TikTok Shop - working directly with the teams running them
- Ad hoc analysis projects, reviewing performance and opportunities relating a range of initiatives.
Group tax and controls
- The compliance calendar across the UK, US, Canada and the EU: corporation tax, VAT, sales tax, EPR
- Managing our external advisers on transfer pricing, sales tax and statutory filings
- Supporting our first statutory audit in 2027
Who you'll work with
You'll report to the Finance Director and sit alongside our Bangalore-based Finance Manager, who leads the offshore team. Between you, you cover the whole function: they own the close, ledgers and much of the operational finance and, you own cash, planning, systems and group-level compliance.
What good looks like in year one
- The cash forecast runs off live data and updates itself
- Stock, freight and COGS flow through end to end without manual intervention
- The compliance calendar across five entities runs on rails
- At least two things done manually each month are no longer done by a person
- A clean, well-prepared first statutory audit

What we're looking for
Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or qualified by experience with a track record that speaks for itself
- A builder, you've implemented or rebuilt finance processes and can point at what changed
- Already using AI in your own workflow, with an opinion about where it helps and where it's noise
- Hands-on cash flow forecasting and treasury experience
- Comfortable owning tax compliance across several countries. You don't need to be a tax technician, but you do need to run the process and challenge advisers
Helpful
- Multi-entity, multi-currency group experience
- E-commerce, consumer products or fast-growth SME background
- Xero, and comfort working with data outside a spreadsheet - SQL, Python, or the low-code equivalent
Where it goes
A manager title today, with a clear route to a Head of role as the function grows behind you. We'd rather set that out plainly than inflate the title now.
Process
- Intro call with the Finance Director
- A working session on a real problem from the business, including where you'd bring AI to it. This will be face to face in our London office.
- Final conversation with the Finance Director and CEO
We move quickly and you'll get a decision either way.
