Our Client

We are partnered with a large and highly respected housing organisation to recruit a Group Finance Manager (Financial Accounting & Control).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a complex and commercially focused organisation that plays a vital role within its sector. With a strong commitment to operational excellence, governance, and continuous improvement, the finance function is central to ensuring robust financial control, regulatory compliance, and high-quality reporting across the Group.

The organisation is seeking an experienced finance leader to support the delivery of statutory reporting, audit activities, financial controls, and regulatory submissions, whilst helping to drive a customer-focused and collaborative finance culture.

With significant stakeholder exposure, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to influence financial governance across the Group, this role offers an excellent platform for an ambitious qualified accountant looking to further develop their career.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Financial Accounting & Control, the Group Finance Manager will play a key leadership role within the Financial Reporting and Control team.

You will lead the delivery of statutory accounting, external audits, regulatory reporting, and financial control activities across multiple Group entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The role will also involve deputising for the Head of Financial Accounting & Control as required and supporting wider strategic finance initiatives.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will oversee the coordination of quarterly, interim, and year-end audits, manage intercompany accounting processes, and ensure regulatory submissions are completed accurately and on time. You will also take responsibility for strengthening financial controls, improving reporting processes, and supporting the ongoing development of the finance team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
