The Role
Finatal is partnering with a leading PE-backed, high-growth multi-site retail business in the search for a Group Financial Accountant. Having delivered impressive growth and expanded its footprint across the UK, the business is entering an exciting new phase of development and is investing in its finance function to support continued expansion and operational excellence.
Working closely with a high-calibre finance director, this role will play a key part in strengthening financial controls, enhancing group reporting processes, and supporting the business through its next stage of growth. Operating in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure across the organisation and work closely with senior stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with 1 to 2 years' post-practice experience to join a high-growth, PE-backed business, applying strong technical accounting skills while gaining broad exposure in a scaling organisation.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparation of statutory accounts and management of the external audit
- Maintaining robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity
- Producing accurate financial reporting for senior leadership and investors
- Managing technical accounting matters and compliance requirements
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes
- Driving process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
- Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business to enhance reporting and decision-making
- Supporting the continued scaling of systems, controls and reporting capabilities
- Assisting with tax, VAT and regulatory compliance obligations

Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- 1 to 2 years' post-practice experience
- Technically strong with a solid grounding in financial accounting and reporting
- Experienced within hospitality, retail, leisure, consumer or multi-site businesses
- Comfortable operating in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Commercially minded and capable of translating financial information into actionable insights
- Keen to take ownership and contribute beyond the traditional remit of financial accounting
