Group Financial Accountant - Contract
6 month contract, must be available or available on short notice
Hybrid working, Central London (2 / 3 days per week)

Seeking a Group Financial Accountant on a Fixed Term Contract, offering a fantastic opportunity to join a business renowned for innovation, employee development, and a fast-paced, collaborative culture.
About the Role
As a Group Financial Accountant, you’ll be assisting with the Group’s reporting requirements and preparation of monthly reports.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Consolidation
- Support the monthly Group consolidation and reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across the Group.
- Review submissions from operating businesses and work with local finance teams to resolve reporting issues.
- Prepare and post Group-level consolidation and accounting adjustments.
- Support the preparation of monthly management reporting for senior management and the Board.
- Perform balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations and investigate differences.
- Help maintain and improve the Group reporting and consolidation processes.

Statutory Reporting & Audit
- Support the preparation of the Group's annual financial statements and statutory accounts.
- Coordinate information and deliverables across Group entities during the year-end audit.
- Work directly with external auditors, responding to queries and preparing supporting analysis.
- Support the preparation and review of statutory accounts for individual Group entities.
- Assist with accounting papers and documentation for significant or judgemental accounting matters.

Projects
- Participate in Group Finance projects, including systems implementations, process improvement and reporting automation.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis for the Group Financial Controller, CFO and wider senior management team.
- Support the continued development of the Group Finance function as the business grows.
Key Requirements
- You will be a qualified ACA, ACCA accountant with strong technical foundations.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Experience of preparing or auditing financial statements and balance sheets.
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
