Group Financial Accountant
Central London
The opportunity
Newly created Group Financial Accountant position within the Head Office finance team of a growing international business. Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting & Control, this role offers broad exposure to group consolidation, financial reporting, IFRS accounting and finance transformation across multiple international markets.
It's an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant who has built solid experience in group reporting or financial control and is ready to take on greater responsibility within a complex international environment.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the Group Finance team across:
- Group consolidation and reporting
- Reviewing intercompany reporting and resolving mismatches
- Reviewing market balance sheet submissions
- Preparing accounting entries and supporting documentation for group consolidation
- IFRS accounting, including IFRS 16 and PPA
- Supporting technical accounting papers
- Supporting preparation of group financial statements
- Designing and implementing group consolidation controls
- Analysing reporting quality and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Supporting finance transformation and process improvement
- Acting as a key contact for audit queries relating to group consolidation

About you
We're looking for an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant with:
- 2+ years' experience in group reporting, financial control or a similar environment
- Experience of IFRS group consolidations
- Strong month-end, journal and reconciliation experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive, organised approach and willingness to take ownership
- An interest in improving processes and using technology to work more efficiently

The role
This is a newly created position within a growing international organisation, offering the chance to gain broader group exposure and work closely with senior Group Finance leadership.
You'll have the opportunity to contribute to reporting improvements, controls and finance transformation, alongside the core consolidation responsibilities.
