The Company

A privately held international investment organisation is seeking a recently qualified accountant to join its finance team in a broad and commercially focused role. The business has a diverse portfolio of investments and operates across multiple entities and jurisdictions, requiring a highly organised and detail-oriented individual who can support strong financial governance, statutory compliance and financial control activities.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will take responsibility for a range of financial accounting, statutory reporting and compliance activities across a group structure comprising multiple legal entities.

  • Managing the statutory reporting timetable and ensuring all filing requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Preparing audit files for multiple legal entities and working closely with external accounting service providers to ensure the efficient delivery of finance-related activities.
  • Supporting a broad range of taxation and compliance responsibilities including VAT, corporation tax, capital gains tax and other relevant obligations.
  • Maintaining strong financial controls across the organisation, including performing bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly reviews of intercompany positions, loans, debt balances, and shareholder equity movements.
  • Supporting the effective operation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately, supported by appropriate audit trails and compliant with accounting standards and best practice.
