Group Financial Accountant
Location: Redditch
Salary: £54,000 - £60,000
Contract: Permanent, full time
About the Role
Here at Gleeson a valued client of ours and an established organisation is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to gain exposure to group-level reporting and consolidation within a complex, multi-entity environment. Working closely with senior finance leadership, the role will play a key part in ensuring accurate, timely and compliant group financial reporting, while providing support to finance teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation of monthly group consolidated financial results, including actuals, budgets and forecasts
- Managing inter company reconciliations, group journals and currency translations
- Maintaining accurate records for holding company and central entities, including general ledger ownership
- Producing monthly management reporting packs for senior stakeholders
- Assisting with the upkeep of consolidation and reporting systems, structures and policies
- Acting as a key point of contact for subsidiary finance teams, providing guidance and support where required
- Coordinating group reporting timelines and ensuring submissions meet agreed deadlines
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation, audit processes and tax-related reporting
- Assisting with annual report preparation and other regulatory deliverables
- Providing ad hoc analysis and support to the wider group finance function

Skills & Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Experience in group reporting and consolidations, ideally within a multi-entity environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with exposure to IFRS and/or UK GAAP
- Comfortable working with multi-currency data and complex financial structures
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with consolidation or reporting systems
- Highly organised with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines
- Confident working with stakeholders across different functions and geographies
- Collaborative, adaptable and keen to develop within a group finance setting
