Group Financial Accountant – £50,000 - £55,000 + Benefits – Battersea, South West London (5 days on site)
FryerMiles is working on an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join a growing international hospitality group at an exciting stage of its development.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role across financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit, tax and financial controls, with exposure to operations across the UK, US and other international markets.
This is a broad role offering excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to make a genuine impact as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for UK and international entities and support Group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
- Support UK GAAP and US GAAP reporting requirements, including conversion work where required.
- Assist with annual reports, technical accounting papers and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Manage relationships and information requests with external auditors, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support corporation tax compliance, VAT returns, reconciliations and year-end tax reporting.
- Assist with capital allowance reviews relating to new openings and refurbishment projects.
- Maintain and strengthen the Group's balance sheet reconciliation framework.
- Review and improve financial controls, processes and procedures across the international business.
- Support the ongoing development of Sage Intacct, including interfaces with EPOS and other business systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation, improved reporting and greater efficiency across finance processes.
- Support monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting, as well as month-end and year-end close.
- Provide finance support on projects including new site openings, acquisitions, financing initiatives and restructuring.
- Maintain accurate reporting around deferred revenue.
- Assist with ONS returns and other regulatory submissions.
- Work closely with the wider finance team and operational stakeholders on finance-related queries and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
You will ideally have:
- Experience working within a Group environment, including consolidations.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and statutory accounts.
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work effectively across multiple departments and locations.
- A self-motivated, organised and commercially minded approach.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a broad, hands-on Group Financial Accountant position within a rapidly growing international business.
You will gain exposure to statutory reporting, consolidations, tax, audit, systems, controls and strategic projects, while working closely with senior finance leadership and operational teams.
