Department: Finance

Location: Kingsway UK Compensation: £50,000 - £55,000 / year

Description

Corston is a fast-growing, design-led business with operations across the UK, Europe and the US. As we continue to expand internationally, we're investing in our Finance team to ensure we have the systems, controls and insights needed to support the next phase of our growth.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Group Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team.

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting the Group's month-end close process. Working closely with finance teams across our international operations, you will help maintain strong financial controls, support business growth and contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function.

This is a broad and varied role offering exposure to group reporting, international operations, statutory accounts, tax, audit and financial controls. It presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a fast-growing international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly Group consolidated management accounts across multiple legal entities and currencies.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving significant or unusual movements.
  • Prepare and maintain the Group chart of accounts.
  • Support the preparation of Board and Executive financial reporting packs.
  • Ensure strong financial controls are maintained across the Group and support continuous improvements to financial processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for UK entities and coordinate overseas statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support the annual external audit by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor requests.
  • Monitor compliance with Group accounting policies, UK GAAP, IFRS and internal control frameworks.
  • Assist local tax advisers with the preparation of corporate tax returns.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
  • Maintain finance process documentation and accounting policies.
  • Partner with finance teams across international operations to resolve technical accounting matters and improve reporting processes.
  • Support the establishment of new legal entities, working with local advisers to facilitate international showroom openings and business expansion.
  • Assist with the integration of new entities into the Group's financial reporting framework.
  • Contribute to international finance projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
