Quorn Foods are delighted to be recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Finance team.

What You'll Be Responsible For

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a high-performing finance function and take ownership of several complex accounting areas across the Group.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, inventory accounting, capital expenditure accounting and the continued development of robust financial controls and processes across the business.

You'll ensure the accuracy of financial information across your areas of responsibility, whilst helping to maintain high standards of financial control and governance across the Group.

You'll also lead key areas of inventory and capex accounting, including standard costing, stock reporting and IFRS 16-related activities, whilst identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and systems.

The position will be based from our Leeds or Stokesley office circa 2-3 days per week along with the opportunity to work flexibly/remotely when required.

What Experience You'll Need To Have

  • Demonstrate a background within a manufacturing, FMCG or similarly complex commercial environment
  • Possess sound technical accounting knowledge alongside exposure to financial reporting, statutory accounts and audit processes
  • Present excellent analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Be confident building relationships with stakeholders across different functions and communicating financial information clearly
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to improving processes, controls and reporting within a finance environment
  • Ideally present knowledge of SAP, inventory accounting, standard costing or capital expenditure accounting
  • A passion for healthy, sustainable products which are better for our consumers and the planet – you don’t have to be a vegetarian to work for Quorn!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
