About The Role

As the Group Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of one of our group companies, including but not limited to month-end procedures to management accounts and client fund management.

In addition to this, you will support the Group Financial Controller on other group technical and accounting matters and also support and drive finance transformation activities.

Duties Include

  • Production of month-end accounts which will include balance sheet reconciliations, revenue reconciliations, and any journals required.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Be the point of contact for the external audits.
  • Ensure that client funds are managed correctly on a monthly basis.
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller on occasion with Unity 5 month-end production.
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller in any projects required which may include IT system transformation, improvements on controls and processes, and improving reporting systems.

  • Knowledge of how a regular month procedure might look.
  • Knowledge of controls and processes and experience of driving process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Preferably ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified but would consider late-stage candidates.
